Tips：
Veterinary B-mode ultrasound probes are divided into 3.5 MHz mechanical probes, 3.5 MHz large convex array probes, and 6.5 MHz rectal probes. The frequency of the probes depends on the animals to be examined. For small animals such as pigs and sheep, mechanical probes or convex probes are generally selected.
A linear rectal probe is generally chosen for the pregnancy test of large animals such as cattle and horses.
The high frequency of 7.5 MHz has only a small penetration depth of 4-5 cm and a resolution of 2 mm, that is, good image quality. Correspondingly, the resolution decreases with frequency while the penetration depth increases, so at 5.0 MHz the penetration depth is 8-10 cm, and at 3.5 MHz the penetration depth is 12-15 cm with lower resolution.
